6) Use of Google AdWords conversion tracking

This website makes use of the online advertising programme ‘Google AdWords’. Within the framework of Google AdWords, the website also makes use of conversion tracking. The conversion tracking cookie is implemented when a user clicks on an ad that has been delivered by Google. Cookies are small text files, which are stored on your computer. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and cannot be used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of this website before the cookie has become invalid, both we and Google can see that you have clicked on the ad and been forwarded to the web page in question. Every Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information that is collected via conversion cookies serves to provide conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have elected to use the conversion tracking function. The customers are provided with the total number of users who have clicked on their ads, whereupon they are forwarded to a page that has a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information, with which they can identify the user personally. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can easily exclude your data from being used by deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via the user settings of your internet browser. You will thereby be excluded from the conversion tracking statistics. You can find out more about Google’s data protection policy at http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
